Donna Louise DeConna

Donna DeConna is an attorney at Salgado Thomas, P.A. Her practice is focused on first party insurance defense issues. Her previous experience includes handling professional liability and general liability defense claims representing insurance companies, physicians, nursing homes and assisted living facilities. She also has experience in employment related matters representing both plaintiffs and defendants in employment disputes ranging from Family Medical Leave Act violations and Title VII discrimination claims.

Ms. DeConna has first and second chaired successful jury trials across the State of Florida in both state and federal courts.  Her first trial following law school was as the only law clerk for the defense team in United States v. Manuel A. Noriega, in Federal District Court for the Southern District of Florida where she wrote the majority of briefs filed by the defense.

A Little More Personal

Ms. DeConna was raised in Gainesville, Florida.  She is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University’s College of Law where she was Lead Articles Editor of the Nova Law Review from 1990 to 1991.  Ms. DeConna resides in Tampa, Florida and serves on the board of Dance Alive National Ballet company.
